Vett ("we," "us," or "our") operates the Vett mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use the App. Please read this policy carefully. If you disagree with any part of this policy, please discontinue use of the App.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information that you provide directly to us, including:

• Account Information: Email address and display name when you create an account.
• Profile Information: Skin type and skin concerns you select during onboarding.
• User-Generated Content: Reviews (including text ratings and scores), photos, and videos that you upload or submit through the App.
• Authentication Data: If you sign in via Google or Apple, we receive your name and email address from those providers. We do not receive or store your Google or Apple password.
• Device Information: Device type, operating system version, and unique device identifiers collected automatically to help us improve the App and deliver push notifications.
• Usage Data: General usage patterns such as features used and interaction frequency, collected to improve the App experience.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Create and manage your account.
• Display your reviews and profile information to other users of the App.
• Personalize your experience based on your skin type and concerns.
• Send push notifications (with your permission) about relevant activity.
• Improve, maintain, and troubleshoot the App.
• Respond to your support requests and inquiries.
• Enforce our Terms of Service and protect against misuse.

3. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored using Supabase, a managed backend platform backed by Amazon Web Services (AWS) infrastructure. We implement industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest to protect your personal information. While no method of electronic storage is 100% secure, we take reasonable precautions to protect your data from unauthorized access, alteration, or destruction.

4. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information only in the following circumstances:

• Public Profile and Reviews: Your display name, skin type, and reviews are visible to other App users. This is core to how the App functions.
• Service Providers: We use third-party services to operate the App, including Supabase (database and authentication) and Expo (push notifications). These providers access your data only to perform services on our behalf and are obligated to protect it.
• Legal Requirements: We may disclose your information if required to do so by law, in response to a valid legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Vett, our users, or others.

5. Your Rights and Choices

You have the following rights regarding your personal information:

• Access and Update: You can view and update your profile information at any time within the App.
• Account Deletion: You can delete your account directly within the App. This will permanently remove your profile, reviews, photos, videos, and all associated data from our systems.
• Data Export: You may request a copy of your data by contacting us at support@vett-app.com.
• Push Notifications: You can opt out of push notifications through your device settings at any time.

6. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your data promptly, except where retention is required by law or for legitimate business purposes (such as resolving disputes or enforcing our agreements). Backup copies may persist for a limited period as part of our routine data backup procedures.

7. Children's Privacy

The App is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will take steps to delete that information promptly. 8. Third-Party Services

The App integrates with the following third-party services:

• Supabase: Database hosting, user authentication (including Google OAuth and Apple Sign-In), and file storage.
• Expo: Push notification delivery.

These services have their own privacy policies, and we encourage you to review them. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of third-party services.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you through the App or by other means prior to the change becoming effective. Your continued use of the App after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
